House of Life
Casa de Vida’s House of Life seeks to confirm the God-given dignity of motherhood by providing transitional housing and guidance to mothers and their babies who are adjusting to independent living. Casa de Vida is a single level home with a large basement. The main level contains the housemother’s room, 4 resident rooms (2 residents per room), a common living room and kitchen, the social worker’s office, and a computer area. The basement contains our Baby’s Closet, Executive Director’s office, Washoe High School classroom and storage. Residents of Casa de Vida enjoy the comforts of home such as Internet access, a shared resident phone line, television, and weekend passes to visit family and friends. And, as with any home, they also share in common household duties such as light weekly chores, occasional cooking, and personal laundry.
Thank you to everyone who came to our annual Mothers Day Luncheon that was held on May 5, 2016 at the Eldorado Convention Center! The event was a great success and we were happy and privileged to honor our founders: Pat Glenn, Terry Ricciardi, and Sister Peter Damian.
