Welcome to our home! The staff of Casa de Vida is here to support pregnant
young women during this special, and sometimes difficult, time. We provide our
residents with a safe home, caring staff, 24 hour supervision and assistance,
nutritious meals, pregnancy and childbirth education, social service
assistance, and so much more. Our goal is to build healthy families either by
helping our residents to become the best parents possible or by supporting them
in their efforts to find a loving, adoptive family for their child.
Casa de Vida is a single level home with a large basement. The main level
contains the housemother's room, 4 resident rooms (2 residents per room), a
common living room and kitchen, the social worker's office, and a computer
area. The basement contains our Baby's Closet and a large meeting/craft area
where our classes are generally held. Soon this area will also be home to the
Executive Director's office and a conference room.
Residents of Casa de Vida enjoy the comforts of home such as Internet access, a
shared resident phone line, television, and weekend passes to visit family and
friends. And, as with any home, they also share in common household duties
such as light weekly chores, occassional cooking, and personal laundry.
Residents must also agree to abide by the house rules.
Program fees are charged on a sliding scale basis. Fees are generally arranged
with the staff social worker upon intake. No one is denied services due to
inability to pay. We are here to help.
If you are in need of our services or would like further information, please
call (775) 329-1070 or email us at info@casadevidareno.org. While we primarily
serve individuals residing in Nevada, we welcome new residents from other
locations.
